its beautiful.. but the line across the upper right side really bothers me :(... i saw someone else mention it but i didnt see anyone say a reason for it being there.... you should take it out with photoshop and it would be 100% perfect :)

I'd have never thought to take a monochrome shot of an orchid like this... I'm always too drawn in by the colors (even white)... I like it!

This is great, at that angle they resemble nautiluses which makes it even cooler :)

What firstly catched my eye was the intersting toning and the unique lighting. The soft lighting matches very well with the delicate flower...The light characterizes the orchid, its smoothy surface and the flimsy petals!
:+fav:
Very great job!

PS: Maybe you can tell me nearer info about the lighting you used...I love it!

Beautiful (one of my favorite flowers, though the ones I see in the store don't look nearly as pretty and cared for as these ^_^). The color of the picture is also very calming

Iíve been meaning to comment on this piece for a while now; its one of my favorite of your recent works.

The lighting you used, both the color and the angle, really serve to bring out the amazing shapes and contours of the flowers. So often images of plants look flat, but youíve completely avoided that. The stems also serve to lead the eye around the picture beautifully. I canít wait to see what 2007 brings for your work!

The flowers look like they were made of clay in this shot. The branch near the top is only slightly distracting. The beautiful tones you captured are simply stunning :) So glad I watch you!

This is different from you. Much more subtle than some of your other latest work. But that does not say that I do no enjoy it all the same! I love the lines that the twigs create here. It's as if they're introducing the light into the photograph and then letting it leave. I find this concept so lovely with your blue tones. Brilliant photograph to end the year to.

I'm glad to see this one faved so well , but no comments? lazy folks :P

A most elegant capture. Love the composition and the lighting especially. Interesting you went for the blue tone in this one. I do like it though. Would clone out the top branch, since I find it a little distracting. This would also work well in just plan b/w, with the blacks darkened and tweaks of the neutrals and whites, just enough to not blow the highlights.
